Facebook Statuses

I have wanted to write a lot of Facebook Status updates over the weekend, but I was either not by the internet or I didn't want to be that crazy person that updates her status every 5 minutes.  So here are the "statuses" from my weekend!

I did not know that with the role of mom also came the role of Poop Counselor!!!!!  Just poop in the potty, there is no reason cry about it!!!  :-)

I feel very empowered when I rearrange the furniture

I have too much furniture

I totally forgot my son's 6th month birthday!  (A blog post will be coming soon, now that I remembered!)

It might be time to take a break from Mickey Mouse Club House.  My daughter knows the moment it is going to start and comes and asks me to turn on the TV!  Oops!!!  ;-)

I thought I would be a good mommy and make chocolate chip pancakes....YUCK!!!  I never had them before and now I know why!!!

I love days like these, where we go from one craft activity to the other!!!!

I love driving to the store and having Jovee and CJ laugh the whole way there!

I am glad it is dark in Jovee's room when I need to go in to sing her to sleep because she says the funniest things, but she is so serious, and I am glad that she can not see me smiling!

I love singing worship!  I have missed it so much!

Like father, like daughter :-)

I love this video!  I am sad that I could not capture more of her song, but I was parking the car!  I love her creativity, just like her daddy!!

Thanksgiving Cookies

I love traditions.  I am pretty sure when I was a kid everything we did I would say "This is our new tradition!"  I am so happy that Jovee is getting old enough to start some traditions!

We were given some pumpkin and candy corn cookie cutters and so I thought we could start a new tradition of Thanksgiving cookies!!  So Jovee and I made some sugar cookies and decorated them.  It was the first time Jovee had done anything like this with me and I LOVED it!!!  We do not have a kitchen table so we had to decorate them on the food mat on the floor but it was super fun!!!!!

We have to find some Thanksgiving music to listen to for next year.  We were listening to Christmas music instead!!

The best part of making the cookies is eating them!

I can't wait until Christmas so we can decorate some Christmas cookies!!!!  I love traditions and cookies!!!   ;-)

Food

Praise the Lord it is time for CJ to start eating Solids!  I know this will not be popular with some, but I do NOT like Breastfeeding.  I thought it was something I wanted so bad when it was not possible with Jovee, but now that I doing it with CJ I wish we did formula.  But since breastfeeding is free we shall continue.  The great news is now we are getting closer to being done with this stage and starting  solid foods!  Plus he is so cute in Jovee's pink height chair it makes me crazy!

This is my favorite picture.  Daddy is the best!!!!

Could they get any cuter?

Growing Up

It is finally happening.  My little girl is growing up.  I could not be more proud of her as she is growing and exploring the world around her.  I can tell that we are similar in a lot of ways, which may cause some extra fights throughout life, but I have enjoyed getting to know her as she grows.  There are moments when I can't believe that she is 2 1/2 already, and then there are times that I think "WHAT..it is only been 2 1/2 years"?!?!?!  :-)

She adds a lot of joy to our lives and I am so grateful for her!

 Dear Jovee,

I love how willing you are to help with your big brother.  He loves you so much and you are an incredible big sister!
I love your dress style!  You are your own person and I love it!  I hope that you keep your personality and creativity with you throughout your life!  You are a beautiful person inside and out!

These are some of our favorite quotes...

Favorite Quotes:

Jovee: Sorry I spilled Mommy.
Me: That's ok sometimes mommy spills.
Jovee: Daddy NEVER spills.
Me: Well daddy is pretty awesome.
Jovee: Yeah Daddy is Awesome!

"That sounds fun"

"It's Perfect"

"When CJ gets older he can chase me"  When cj gets older.... (insert ANYTHING you want to do at the moment!)

"You need to vacuum mommy"  (This is my favorite...nothing like being told by your 2 year old that your house is a mess!!  :-) )

At night when I brush your hair:  "Are you pulling my hair out?"

"Maybe a Mouse Ca'tool can help us.  Oh Toodles!!!"  (If you have ever watched Mickey Mouse Club House you will understand!)

I love the special moments that we get to share together!
You rocked our world when you were born and you are still very mischievous, and keep us on our toes!

We love traveling with you and can't wait to take you to other places around the world!

We are so proud of you Jovee and Love you so much!

Our First Snow

The other night it started snowing and actually sticking to the ground!  I really wanted to wake Jovee up and take her out in it, but we can do that another time!  Jovee has become obsessed with snow.  It makes me laugh because she has not really seen snow.  When we were home before CJ's birth there was hard crunchy snow on the ground and Nana and Papa Courliss's house but it melted and she was not able to enjoy it.  But she has been talking about snow for the last 3 months.

So when she woke up and saw the snow on the ground she was soooooooo excited.  So we got dressed at 7:30 and went out to play in the snow.  We were not out long, since we had not eaten breakfast yet, but we had a few fun moments in the first snow of the winter!

Her favorite thing to do was run through the snow and then kick the snow off her feet on the sidewalk!

(Yes I will be sick of the snow in about 2 days, but for now I am trying to enjoy it!)

HOPE

My heart is heavy today as I think about these 2 wonderful people that have gone to be with the Lord in the last 3 months.  My Uncle Danny and Grandma have been such an important part of my life.

I am glad that I got to spend so much time with them and be influenced by them and their walk with the Lord.  It is encouraging to know that they are dancing with Jesus completely healed and that one day I will get to dance and sing with them.

I am not a good writer so it is hard to express how I feel, but I am so glad the Lord put me in your lives.  I am forever grateful for the time that we had together and I will not forget you.  I will carry your memory with me until we meet again.

There is Hope in the Lord, and Hope in his promises and during moments like this we cling to his HOPE!
