We took a trip to the Palace of Versailles. It was out of the city about 30 minutes. It really did not take that long to get there. I thought it would take much longer. I wanted to put Jovee in her Princess outfit for the day but Norris thought that would be a little to weird so he talked me out of it!
We had fastpasses to get into all the museums. Usually it helped us not have to wait in line. Not today! I think everyone had a ticket to Versailles before they got there. It was crazy busy. We only arrived 15 minutes after it opened and we stood inline for about 1 1/2 hours!!! Good thing Jovee was tired. She just slept on Norris's shoulder the entire time we waited in line! We checked Jovee's stroller at the front gate and then we were on our way.
There were no bathrooms once you got inside the gate until you reached the gardens. But in order to reach the gardens you had to go through the maze of the palace first. So we just found an empty bench and changed her there. BAD IDEA! Our baby girl likes to poop in a very clean diaper. So we were about 5 minutes into the palace when she pooped. Poor girl did not want to be sitting in the backpack, but we had no other option. Norris was able to distract her enough with his i-phone while we walked through the different rooms. Again people thought that she was pretty cute looking at daddy's i-phone while walking through the palace.
Once we finally got through the palace we changed her again in the corner of Versailles and then it started to rain. We decided not to pay the insane 15 Euros each to get into the gardens. Jovee was done and the rain was coming. We took the train back to the apartment and had a nap! What a nap it was....Jovee slept for 3 hours! poor thing was very tired!
After our nap we just took another walk around the city! I am sure you are starting to see a pattern here....we were obsessed with walking in the city! I think if we ever leave Egypt we are going to have to go somewhere we can walk! We LOVE it and Jovee loved it!!
